A Mug's guide to PGPLOT

CY Teo

This guide is intended to demonstrate how to obtain simple graphs using the PGPLOT graphics subroutine library. A more detailed description of this library can be found in its manual. You can get an on-line look at the manual with the command:
 xdvi ~src/pgplot/manual/pgplot.dvi
The easiest way to get a hardcopy of the manual is to find an existing one and to photocopy the sections which are relevent to your needs. However, if you absolutely need to, you may print a copy with the command:
 dvips ~src/pgplot/manual/pgplot.dvi
Be warned however, that the manual is 118 pages long and will take a long while to print!
