These images were taken from an
animation
showing a 3D reconstruction of the Rocks in Sydney.
The streets and building were
recreated from the information found in the existing cadastre at the
time. Historical accounts and archaeological founds provided
textures and colours.
The Premier of New South Wales, Bob Carr, approved the "Virtual Sydney" project as an olympic project.
Prof. R. Fletcher and Dr I. Johnson managed the final project which on display at the Museum of Sydney.
