Current Work
We are also working on setting up a public service and web-based database system to show live traffic on a Google Maps or openStreet interface.
At the moment, we have been able to render congestion onto transparent images, which then load into Google Maps. We are currently trying to optimise the rendering, and prepare it to run automatically and re-render when traffic conditions change. Below are a couple of screenshots of our latest work, shown in Google Maps.

Available traffic information is mapped over a Google Earth representation of SE Queensland, at varying regional scales as shoown in the images below.
