The VPCScreen program was developed by hys Hawkins of Australian National University, Canberra.
The VPVScreen packages available here are for Slackware Linux 11.0 and 12.0
They have been tested locally and appear to work fine. Please advise of any other quirks or difficulties concerning the packaging to the contact email address below.
Installation
Download the latest appropriate (i386 or x86_64) vpcscreen .tgz package file from:
http://www.vislab.uq.edu.au/research/accessgrid/software/slackware/SL-12.0
(or http://www.vislab.uq.edu.au/research/accessgrid/software/slackware/SL-11.0)
Now, in the directory where the .tgz is saved, run something like:
sudo /sbin/installpkg vpcscreen-0.2-i686-1.tgz
(the exact package name will vary, depending on version and architecture)
Running VPCScreen
Following installation, VPCScreen can be started by adding it as a new service as if it were a video or audio stream. Some additional information is available at accessgrid.org's VPCScreen page
