- Powerful/Recent CPU (e.g. Core2 Duo).
- Over 1 GB RAM.
- Gigabit Ethernet (full duplex capable).
- Nvidia graphics card with appropriate XVideo support (blitter or texture
adaptors).
For example, GeForce GT 7300 or Quadro FX 1700 appears to work well.
Ensure the nvidia binary driver is installed (the "nv" driver will not work).
- High resolution monitor which supports HD resolution (e.g. 1920x1080).
- For best results, if multiple graphics cards are being used (in
multi-monitor configurations) - it is recommended for each card to be of the
same brand and model.
- Firewire DV/HDV camera or DV coverter (e.g. Canopus ADVC 55, but native
DV/HDV cameras are recommended).
- PAL-capable devices are also preferred when sending DV streams.
- Recent Linux Kernel (e.g. kernel 2.6.20).
- Synchronisation to NTP servers is recommended.
