Technical Presentations
Clustered Display AG: this project demonstrates an AG node implemented with a scalable tiled display system using Distributed Multihead X. A paper by C. Willing was presented at the 2005 AG Retreat in San Francisco (Clustered Display AG slides) and he will also be participating in the November SCGlobal panel on this topic (November 2005)
September 2005: VisLab staff will participate to the planning, organisation and delivery of an AG Workshop at APAC’05 conference (Sept 29-30, ’05). The invited guest is ANL’s visiting AG developers.
August 2005: C. Willing made a presentation to the APAN'05 conference via AG.
Mapping the Access Grid: invited participant at international AG planning Workshop, San Francisco, April 2005. C. Willing gave three presentations on the work done in VisLab. ANU’s Darren Edmunson won the prize for live demonstration. Various projects to improve useability of the AG software are in progress. An enhanced menu system was described by C. Willing at the 2005 AG Retreat as part of his "Mapping the Access Grid" presentation (Mapping the Access Grid slides). This system allows direct navigation to AG venues, without having to find servers and progress venue by venue to the target venue.
